Is this the right dipstick for my 307 an where to get a new one
As you can see the tube cracked and I went to get a aftermarket one and the dipstick broke in my hand after it almost did in the pan so I went to a dealership and they don't seem to carry the oem ones anymore so I'm wondering what you guys use and is this the correct tube and dipstick for my 307 out of a 69 Chevy truck? Thanks guys.

This is funny. I just came in the house from doing the dipstick shuffle. I would say that is the correct one for your engine and it is the same as my 327 uses. I will have to check my '70 with a 350 when I go back out. The one in my '72 with a 350 is 21 1/2" long. LockDoc

It's certainly interesting trying to figure it out . So different years have different sizes?

Keep in mind that there are different size tubes as well. The stick and the tube have to be matched up in order to get the correct crank case oil level.
