Another Grille Swap

Just wanted to make sure there were no hiccups and I need to figure out how to wire up the headlights.

I'm going to the new chrome grille on my 99 crew cab. Because mine is an odd bird because it is a 99, but has the older grille on it, does it make a difference on what I need?

I don't understand the inner bumper bracket thing, because the grille seems to sit right in there.

Re: Another Grille Swap

Far as I know Bryan all you need is the grill, corner lights/reflectors, and if you are going with the 88-98 style quads, you will need the light harness & the light buckets.

Re: Another Grille Swap

You only have to worry about the inner bumper brackets if you're going from an early ('88-'93) grille to a late ('94-'98) grille or vise versa. Since yours is already a late, you already had the right brackets.

1988-93 brackets are 3/4" longer than 94-98. The "lip" on the grille filler is longer (sticks out farther) on the 88-93.

Re: Another Grille Swap

Looks good, but of course you know I'm partial to that style grill. Is that from a junkyard or repop or what?

Re: Another Grille Swap

Hate to say it but........ I liked the W/T grill better. Quad/Chrome grills are every where don't see to many "nice" W/T grills around, that or I might be bias
