Ground cable
My son is 3yr old and helps me when i work on the truck. I dont want he grabing the ground cable, that is located ont the alternator backet, is there another good place to relocate it?

mine is grounded to one of the holes on the frame rail but you have to make sure you have a good ground from the frame to the motor also

Why are you afraid of it ? It wont shcok him i grab mine all the time with wet hands the only thing to worry about is shorting something out to the terminal on the starter sol or the stud on the alt on hte back to some thing grounded it will arch and heat up and possably weld the metal to it

Move it down lower to the head or block. That's a better ground location anyway.
