dumb axle question
so i have a a 84 k10 with 10 bolt rear axle and curious if it has a dana in the front...the front axle has ten bolts as well but no identifacation markings on it...so what kind of axle is it? ya dumb question

If it has a 10 bolt rear chances are its a 10 bolt front if it has a round cover its not a dana axle

mine isnt totally round...it has a slant from the top to the middle on the right side of the housing

Looks to me like a 10 bolt a dana 44 is identical to the one i posted looks to me like corporate 10 bolt maybe im wrong idk i once had a family friend tell his son his 71 k20 had danad 60s front and rear and i looked at them and told him he was wrong and he went off on me and then i proved to him it was a dand 44 3/4 ton with a eaton ho52 rear he no longer talks to me

He had a dana 44 3/4 ton front i have the same axles in my 66 yours looks like its a ten bolt friend not a bad axle ive havent had any problems with them

so far i think they are good to go....the ones i pulled off had over 200000 miles on them...no unusal noises....smooth gears...but they were 3.08's and the ones i put on were suppose to be 3.73's but i think are also 3.08's...no difference in acceleration or anything...i only paid 60 bucks for the axles pictured above so i cant complain anyways..ill just put some gears in it someday

Ya 60 aint bad 44 cost around 400 for a complete set with 410s her in cali and 60s cost round a grand hub to hub per set

wow...more than i can afford...how much should i ask for my old axles? not selling them on here but local...im asking 150...is that too much?

ask what you want if you dont get it right away lower it till you do if you sell right away you may be too low idk what therer worth
