Re: Vent shades
I've seen them with clips and with small screws. (the screws were probably for aftermarket shades)
I bought a new pair and it came with the clips. Other than that, maybe find them in a junkyard. I never saw just the clips for sale.

Re: Vent shades
I never saw clips until later. The first Ventshades I ever installed all used short little sheet metal screws. I have a pair on my '72 just stuck in there. Every now and then I notice the driver side slipping down and I just push it back up. But,I have the original window guide in there, too. I imaging a spot of adhesive here and there would do the trick.

Re: Vent shades
The clips go up inside the window channel. You will have to pull the window rubber out and it normally crumbles when you do it. Once the window rubber is out hold the vent shade in place and take one of the clips and place it in the window channel. It will pop in and hold the edge of the vent shade.

Re: Vent shades
My stepper came with some old stainless shades. They were just stuck in place. When I replaced all the channels, etc. I put a small dab of 3M Weatherstrip ("gorilla snot"), along the ends of the tabs and use a putty knife to hold the channel away until the tab was in place. Been good for a year now. Thought about screws, but old cab has enough holes already...LOL

I put a pair of stainless ones I had on the Red '70 a while back and they just snapped in under the window channel. Seemed to lock in pretty good. LockDoc
