moving side ver mirror back

Has anybody tried moving there stock side view mirror back. Maybe moving moving the front hole to where the back hole is. When I am driving the post between the roll down window and the wing window runs right down the middle of my mirror. Also has anybody tried using a convex mirror instead of the stock round mirror?

Re: moving side ver mirror back

I will be switching to a convex peep mirror at some point. I use convex bar end mirrors on my street moto and love them.
