I have Chevelle shorty's sitting on my doorstep from Mr. Brown waiting for me to get home. Patriot Clipsters. $312 from Summit for ceramic coated ones or sub 200 for bare steel.

Re: SBC shorty or mid-length headers

I bought a set of chevelle mid lengths and they didn't work on mine. The most foward tubes on both sides came in contact with the motor mount before the bolt holes lined up. I'm going to try some huggers next.

Thanks. I was possibly going to go this route.

Re: SBC shorty or mid-length headers

Check out my build for pics. I have the ceramic coated Sanderson mid length headers and they fit great. I am using a stock tilt column with a 700r4 and linkage pivot from a 89 suburban with no problems.
I originally had some long tube headman headers. The contacted the frame rails and the coating faded before while truck was in storage.
Love the Sandersons. Got mine from Early Classic Enterprises along with their 4/6 drop kit.

Re: SBC shorty or mid-length headers

Do you guys think it'd be a bad idea to swap from LT headers to shorties on a 406?
