Re: my 1980 big ten bonanza
Nice truck. I have a '79 Bonanza SWB. Wish it were a SWB bonanza Big 10. Such a rare combo. What's with yellow paint on... everything?

Re: my 1980 big ten bonanza
It is only traditional on tractors. If you like it and its your truck that is all that matters. It will attract lots of attention to whatever part you paint with it.
I have found it is difficult to visualize the end result when the project is still under construction. Sometimes I like the concept or like the piece in isolation, but I don't feel the same way when it is all done. Traditional schemes or variations of them provide more predictable outcomes. As long as you have the time and inclination (I have neither) you can be more radical. If you try it and decide it didn't work later, you can always change it. Looks like a great project. Enjoy and thanks for sharing your progress.

Re: my 1980 big ten bonanza
You will find out very quickly how yellow painted parts show dirt and look like poo. Better learn to like cleaning them.
Sometimes, less is more...especially on certain parts. Have fun with your project.

Re: my 1980 big ten bonanza
Thtas the main reason for the yellow is to see the leaks on the diff and the trans pan the drums were just left over paint cuz i dont want rusty drums showing thru my wheels
