Re: This is what Northeastern trucks are all about.

I can sympathize, I live on the east coast and have owned a few cars in this kind of condition. My GTO was this bad or worse, and basically I had to weld in all new floors, trunk, patch panels on the fenders, rear quarters, new hood. There is very little 'original' metal left on in now.

It's probably going to be the same for that truck. And thats just what we can see from the photos, I'm sure it's a lot worse where we can't see. Water is clearly leaking in from somewhere to have the floor rusted out like that.

BUT it's a fun project for someone who has the time and desire to build a truck from the ground up. And has a good welder

Well excccccussseeeee meee! LOL
I contacted the guy to tell him his truck was a 63, he wrote back

" whatever, registration matches serial # it's a 64 "

I guess it was the last truck built in the 63 line and they had no serial numbers left for 63 so they sneaked a 64 one in.

the vin starts with a 3, its a 1963 YOM. but some states let you title them the year they were purchased, not built. I have seen two 1974 BMWs here in wichita that were built in 1972.

Re: This is what Northeastern trucks are all about.

Then that explains other similar year controversies on this forum. Thank's for adding that. But it's still a 63! There I'm done.
I get the last word! lol
