Try a good penetrating oil, (Kroil if you can find it). Try tapping on the nut while you squirt with oil.

If that doesn't work try heating the nuts. Make sure you wear gloves!LOL

krue- i used kroil... thats the best stuff in the world, we have like 2 cases of it. but the kroil did nothing, heated them up and they really didn't do anything... one kept making a poping sound, like when u lossen a lug nut after it's been on a car for a while

cdowns- one wrench was craftsman, the breaker bar was S-k... the sears store by me hates me, i am always bringing in tools i have broken.... almost felt like braking another craftsman, just to feel better but held back... it actually feels good breaking a tool and knowing ur going to get a NEW FREE tool!

cut them with a hacksaw and buy new ones, specially when you figure all the work it takes to get them off, and if you did you probably wouldn't want to use them again anyway

If you have a torch that you can use to heat them, try heating them till there bright bright red almost to the point of melting then try turning them they should budge........ Good luck!

If they won't turn when they are red hot, mash the lever on your torch and wash them off! It's a lot quicker than a hacksaw!

When I worked at the shop we used to take a 5-foot long pipe and slip it over a STOUT breaker bar. With the car/truck on a lift we took turns walking in circles under the U-bolt holding on to the mega breaker bar.
Today, if it were me, I'd cut them off and buy new ones.

when i took mine off I had the same problem, nothing worked exept my 3" hi speed cutter, when I got through them they made a loud pop and scared the crap out of me i wasnt expecting them to be streatched that tight, there was a bout a 1/4 inch gap where I cut throught the u bolt. i think I got my new ones for about $4.00 each. good luck

If you can find an S-K tool dealer, you should be able to get your ratchet replaced for free too!

1/2 in. impact wrench! If that won't break it loose it will twist the whole thing off.

A lot of the U-bolts on mine flat-out snapped while I was removing them...

Just slice 'em, dice 'em, or whatever you've got. Don't waste your time trying to salvage them.

Those nuts have 250 ft lbs of torque when installed. I used Rust-solvo (German product similar to Kroil), let them soak overnight. 3/4" breaker bar with 6' pipe on the handle. Good luck.
