starter starting 73gmc
Hi all, having problem starting . Have a new fuse box(aftermarket 21 cir) like EZwiring. How do i get power to the fuse box. I have this wire stamped with power solenoid. Does it go to the batt post or solenoid post on the starter or ign post? On the solenoid post i have a purple wire stamped ign sw starter.
Please advise. thanks frankyjoe. |

Re: starter starting 73gmc
Solenoid, means a solenoid activated by the key. The key turns on power to fuse box and anything else tied to it. You want a fusible link or solenoid between the battery and box. Starters can be wired in different ways. It should have one solid big wire to the battery. The small terminal is for ignition. Taking power from the starter to other places is not a good idea.
