75 Seatbelt question
We are wanting to put a shoulder style seat belt in our 75 GMC.... Any ideas on how to get the cap off that is covering the factory mounting point? My assumption is that I will find a threaded location behind the factory applied cap?
Also, know the bolt size that goes with it? Thanks in advance - dan |

Re: 75 Seatbelt question
Take a small flat head screw driver and try prying off the cap. I have a magazine with an article in it about this, so yeah you SHOULD find a threaded location behind the cap. Post some pics of it so I can try to help you more. As for the size, I can't exactly remember it since I replaced mine a while ago.

Re: 75 Seatbelt question
We had a 73 that we installed shoulder belts in. We popped the cap off with a screwdriver and took a seat belt assembly out of a 87 and the bolt went right into the 73 simple as that. The bottom assembly where the belt coils into was a little bit different but it still worked it just did not seem to fit the floor contour as well.
