Polishing dog dish hubcaps

Here is the end result so far on my quest for the stock look....just wondering what grit sand paper or steps to make them look a bit better...right now using product called... Wicked and Never Dull....paid 50 bucks for the pair... was that too much!!!....these are for a 1/2 ton....first step so far...the rears are next!! any tips greatly appreciated!!!

If they are stainless steel, I use red scotch brite pads to remove any scratches or fine lines. Then repolish.

Fifty bucks is a steal based on what I've seen on ebay, even for the 1/2 tons. You should see what the 3/4 ton size ones go for, especially in that condition, and IF you can find them.

I have seen the hub caps go for a lot more for the 3/4 tons .... more like really big bucks!!!! Really hard to find... Just thinking if you were to find the hub caps for your truck that would really make it awesome....even if you could find the wider kelsey-hayes rims.... I am working on the rear hub caps...they have the yellow bow tie...guess I could change the color to blue....will put a pic of them up when they are polished up a bit....Thanks

I actually have what I believe to be the original hubcaps for it (yellow bowtie), but one of the front ones is bent up. There are a few "before" pics on my build thread.
