14 bolt Disc Conversion Parts List?

I have searched this several times with little help found so far. I want to convert my 14 bolt FF 86 & older axle to discs. I have read that this style has drums that are mounted behind the hubs. I have not double checked yet, but I have no reason to think it is any different as it is from an 80 model pickup. My question is this, I know I need rotors from a 3/4 ton 44 for the 8 lug pattern, calipers from same vehicle or eldarado calipers, mounting brakets and flex lines, but do I need new wheel studs? What I have read says you press the new studs through the rotors into the hubs, but will the thickness of the rotor flange make them too short? Also, are the wheel studs flush mounted in recesses behind the hubs, I ask because every picture I have found I can not see any type of stud flange or head on the back side of the hubs. Just want to double check I have my mental picture correct as I want to start pieceing together parts. One final question, since the Dana 44 knuckles are the same on the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton versions, does that mean I can use 1/2 ton calipers? I am assuming they are smaller diameter rotors but I have seen a ton of different size rotors for 1/2 ton stuff. Thanks in advance.
