wheel swap?
are there 15" wheels that are 8lug? Im trying to get some wide white walls and and cant really find anything for the front wheels cuz the tire size is 235/60/16. Can i swap the 16s for 15s or will that not work?

Re: wheel swap?
There are aftermarket 15" wheels with the 8x6.5 bolt pattern. They are geared towards the offroad crowd, so they are typically of the white/chrome spoke design, and maybe the modular wheels also. You did not mention anything about disc brakes, but if you do have discs or plan to, you will experience caliper interference with 15" wheels. That requires a lot of grinding on the calipers to make 15" wheels work.

Re: wheel swap?
captain, thanks for the knowledge man. I think ill just keep it how it is with the 16" in the front even though its a little weird to me. The truck came like that when I got it. I have drum brakes now and i dont know if i will make the switch to disk, but if i do i will keep that in mind.

Re: wheel swap?
Several companies make 16" whitewalls that can be buffed out (not that I recommend grinding on a sidewall but?).

Re: wheel swap?
ya, i want three inch whitewalls and i found some awesome diamondbacks that are three inch but only for the 15s. The 235/60/16 sizes they have only go up to 2 1/4. I dont know if it would look weird with two different size whitewalls or if you would even be able to tell. what do you think?

Re: wheel swap?
Most would be able to tell the difference from 2.25" to 3" if you used both sizes on the truck (unless you mounted the 2.25"s on the right side and the 3" on the left) but I doubt anybody but you would notice that you installed 2.25" whites rather than the 3" versions.

Re: wheel swap?
There are 15" 8 lug wheels out there. I have one on my 3/4 ton for a spare. I thought it was kinda weird to have a 15" 8 Lug wheel. You could have had it but you seem a bit far away.
