68 grill prep question
If you had it down to this:
Would you go ahead and drill out the rivets that hold these last 2 pieces on, the piece that the park lights mount to and the upper one. (I guess I don't know what they are called) and if you did take them off, would just normal pop rivets be OK to hold them back on with? Seems to me it would sure be easier if they were separated. Thanks for your opinions

Re: 68 grill prep question
Drill it out, and use pop rivets to replace. That's what I did. No problem.

Re: 68 grill prep question
I went ahead and did that very thing for practice (on an older grill that's headed to the scrap heap) and discovered that the pieces are interchangeable, I mean if you didn't want park lights, or want them in the top one, or whatever. I was surprised that they are the same.

Re: 68 grill prep question
Yes I would take it apart and did for my build. I think LMC Trucks makes rivet headed bolts to reattach the grill surrounds to the grill.

Re: 68 grill prep question
They do make the rivet head bolts to reinstall them. I put the blinker on the top in my crew cab and took out the blinker in the extended cab.
