oil dipstick
I have a 72 c/10 with a 350.
I think I have the wrong sized dip stick for my oil (previous owner). Can somebody please go measure the length of their dip stick? I know I have the right tube, but basically, when I have 5 quarts, it's 3 inches above the full line. And when I am 2 quarts low, it shows me as full. Thank you

Re: oil dipstick
Mine is 18 3/4 to the bottom of the bell not to where it would seat up into the bell, Its one of those phony Chinese chrome ones. Best way is to change your oil if its a stock pan you know it holds 5 qts run it let it set for a few hours, check it and scribe a mark on the stick where the oil is.
