Happened across this forum and the bug has bit...bit HARD!! I'm a country boy at heart, born and raised in SE Missouri. Grew up in a salvage yard which family still owns. I look back and wish I would have payed attention to my grandpa cuz I know little to nothing about cars/trucks, BUT I think I'm a good learner! I own a 54 chevy which is being planned to either be a driver or sell it for a 64-66, as I have found memories in quite a few of those...riding down a gravel road to go swimming in a creek.
Just wanted to give you heads up/fair warning, as I will be on here lurking, learning, and asking a ton of questions!! All ready on my search for a "barn find"...ironically, I need to get back to missouri to see if we may have one just sitting there!! But I have some buisness to take care over in Afganistan first, Duty calls!
Appreciate you letting a newbie gain some knowledge and inspiration!!
BTW, I LOVE the patina trend going on right now!!

Re: New member

Appreciate the welcome! All ready got over 1000's pics I've saved from this site and I'm starting to read everyone's "builds" to get some pointers. I'm ignorant to "building" a truck so I need to gain some confidence!

Trade me the '54 for a '65 I have that has awesome patina! It even has an original 283 v8 that runs. Welcome to the forums!
