How to make smooth wiper cowl?

Anyone know of a thread or pics or any tips on how to weld up a metal one?
I know a guy was makin fiberglass ones but i know someone who bought one said it fit like crap

here ya go, it on like page 18 or 19, this is a long thread but it is well worth looking through all of it, this kid is like 18 or so but has done some really cool stuff, actually about page 16, check the whole thread though, this kid is good

Thanks thats good to know. But my dad has all the stuff here at my house to do it. But hees not much of a sheetmetal guy more of a chassis and motor and trans builder. Thats why i was wondering if i could get some tips on how to do it.

But if worse need i may have to take you up on your offer lol

Ron, the guy that helps me do them has been doing old school body and sheet metal work for 30 years. He just uses a hammer and dolly to shape them where they need it. I love to watch him work....

Thats sweet man, did he weld in the patch pieces first and then shape it? And when i start to do mine i may need you to ask him some questions for me lol

Some of it he shaped first and some of it he shaped while he was welding. That's the beauty of experience...

Every one on here whos made the metal ones sya they cant charge less than $600 for the work and time it takes so they dont sell em, and there is a guy sellin fiberglass ones. I was gonna buy one from him there $225 but half the ppl say they fit good jalf the ppl say they fit like crap so im not gonna risk it

My friend Ron and I still make them from time to time. We get $300 for them and can pretty much make them to any configuration.... PM me if interested.
