VIN and RPO code info

I have what is titled as a 1983 GMC truck, but it did not come with an RPO sheet. I would love to see what options my truck came with originally, but without an RPO sheet there's no way of doing it. I decoded the VIN already, but I'm looking for options like the trim level and such. Does anyone here have the power to look up RPO codes by the VIN number? I asked the nearest GMC dealership and they said their software only goes so far back, not nearly far enough to help me with my truck. If anyone has this power, let me know and I'll PM the VIN to you. Thanks!

Steve

Re: VIN and RPO code info

I could try and see what I come up with. We may have some old books kicking around somewhere.

Re: VIN and RPO code info

This site supposedly works for 1980 and up. I have had good luck with it on newer trucks.
