Project Rouge 67 short
Well Im fairly new on this forum but have found a lot of interesting/helpful information already. I've been in the truck scene for a while now, in spring I sold my bagged S10 to buy this truck. I've had my 67 for a few months now and have been slowly doing mods to it, so I've decided to make a project thread.....
Previous truck..... 2001 Chev S10 My next truck..... I decided to take a completely different route and go with something older. I have always been a huge fan of C10's, so I started looking for something with a decent body and engine. I came across this 67 short from another province (I'm from Canada). This truck had a little more then what I was looking for but for the price I couldn't pass it up. I transported it over to its new home in the back of a semi trailor. I am a huge newbie when it comes to engines so please bare with me when I begin to do engine mods. All advice and guidance welcome Painted the rear half of the frame and put drop coils in (previous owner used coilovers with a hack setup, it wasn't safe)....... What the bed looked like before...... The previous owner had a trap door thing where part of the bed lifted up so he could fill his gas tank (you can see the trap door if you look closely in the pics). I hated it from day one so I re did the entire bed Re-did the bed in pine with new hardware and strips....... I will have more updates shortly, I have done more things since these pics but the weather hasn't aloud me to the truck outside for some sunny pics. Any thoughts or comments are welcome. Re: Project Rouge 67 short
Looks like a good upgrade from your last truck. But I am a bit partial.
Nice ride.

Re: Project Rouge 67 short
I bought a new 1406 600 cfm electronic choke edelbrock carb, I originally had a manual edelbrock 1407 but have been told thats too much of a carb for the engine Im running and that might be why its running poorly.
I was just wondering, where is everyone running their positive wire to for there electric carb? Ive research and seen a few different places, I just want to know what's best on a C10. |

Re: Project Rouge 67 short
Forgot to post these pics back in fall. I swapped the steering wheel back to the original 67 wheel, painted all interior components to match, and painted the inside firewall black.
Few more random pictures: Once spring arrives I hope to tear the front end apart, sandblast all suspension/steering parts then paint it all black including the firewall and wheel wells. Also. another project that Im more unfamiliar with is tuning the engine, that will happen right when I take it out of storage.

Re: Project Rouge 67 short
Yep, I believe I bought them off you (assuming Trilogy is your s10forum user name). I switch wheels almost every year and finally after 4 sets I was happy with the intros, instead of selling the wheels I sold the entire truck :P

Re: Project Rouge 67 short
Nice looking truck, wish I had waited on something that nice! And for your carb.--I couldn't see too much of the motor, I'm assuming it's a 350? But even for a stock 305, 327, 350...any small block Chevy--a 600 shouldn't be too much carb.

Great looking truck. Those seats, what year of trailblazer are they from and what did you have to do to install them?

Re: Project Rouge 67 short
The seats I believe came out of 2007-08 Trailblazer. The tracks were used from the original seats for an easy install.

Re: Project Rouge 67 short
Absolutely beautiful truck, as stated before hope my project turns out half as good as this truck. Really nice S10 you had as well, any plans to bag this truck like your S10 was.
