Back yard find- next project
Okay so I have been posting over on the 55-57 section, but now that my 57 is completed I have moved onto my next project.
This is actually my dads truck that he started a ground up restoration about 20 years ago and he got this far in the reassembly process. I told him that since my 57 was completed I would work on his 72 one ton dually and get it running and driveable. Here are the details 1972 Chevy 1 ton dually >> Converted to GMC grille and emblems rebuilt 350 sbc (4bolt main 1972 chevy truck motor, not original to this truck) rebuilt turbo 400 So these pics are on the day we loaded it up and brought it to my house. Progress so far: pull distributor and primed oil pump rebuild carb pullled plugs and put some oil in the cylinders. Then turned engine over with a breaker bar and socket on the dampner pully. Turned easy like butter. |
