Taking a break from my trucks

Well, just replaced the rad in my truck ,got everything plumbed in. It went smooth almost too smooth. Took it out for a long country drive and the hottest it got was 190. That's with the new fan and rad. Couldn't get my shroud to work with the new fan...but no biggie. So I go to start it this afternoon and all I get is click, click, hooked it up to a booster same thing( battery is new by the way) So I trace the hot wire lead from the battery to where it connects to the starter and the whole plastic assembly to the cilinoid is loose. I need to dick with this like I need another project. So tomorrow instead of fixing it, I'm gonna go quad riding with my best friend and just not worry about it ( just taking my own advise) sometimes you just need to walk away for a bit. I'm sure I will think about it ...but not for long. Everyone enjoy your holiday.

I hear ya! I had been going hard on my dropmember project, and now I feel a little burnt out. Gonna take a week or two off and then get back at her. Enjoy!

Re: Taking a break from my trucks

It is amazing how you can walk away from a problem that is a "9.5" on the scale and when you come back it's a 3. I JUST got my bracket car down the road for the first time. I built the motor, I went through the th400 and I installed and setup the 9". Mayden voyage was a success but there are a ton of "little" things to do. Instead of getting right on those, I pulled it in the garage and hit the kill switch. Enough is enough and I'll get back on it in a few days when I have more gas in MY tank!!!

Re: Taking a break from my trucks

Just got back!! already feel like a new man. Had to just blow some steam off on the quad. We rode for 6-7 hours (just exploring) then the last leg before my house is all swamp. Well...two best friends get into a d*ck measuring contest on 4x4 quads. I probably don't need to tell you what happened., but we buried both quads. After a half hour 45 mins of trying to get out we finally did and laughed the whole way home. What a great day!, and the truck will still be there ,but I will have a different outlook.

Re: Taking a break from my trucks

Glad to here it ended good. We just had a lady killed on a quad yesterday here. Hmm....let's see.... The Sheriff said drugs/alcohol, speed and no helmet were contributing factors. So sad because she leaves behind a 10 yr old son. I've kind of become a puss these days because I don't want my son to be without his dad. I also don't trust who my wife might remarry! lol

Re: Taking a break from my trucks

We always play safe....just a couple of thirty something's going out for a ride. We are competitive though.
