Rear Bumper Brackets
After cutting the 8 inches off my frame I was trying to figure out how do the rear bumper brackets bolt to the frame ? when I bought this truck I paid 350 bucks for it and it was missing the box, rear bumper brackets and bumper. If anyone has any pic s they could post that would be awesome.
In the next ten min I will return to the shop and finish metal preping the frame so when my Dad gets home he can help me spray the etching primer and the high build primer. That way I can paint the rest of my frame parts that are already primed black. I am going to use a airplane paint made by tempoits super flexable so it should hold up pretty nice

brackets bolt to outside surface of the rails and extend out to the bumper, on step bumpers they are wleded to the bumper(inner brackets) and on sport bumpers they are bolted to them just like the front bumpers are, and are separate unwelded brackets

The flat pieces on the top are "dust" guards. They don't provide any structural support, mostly cosmetic. I think if you would bolt your brackets to the bumber first then you could tell where they need to go on the frame. You would need to have the bed on first, to get the proper fit. I don't know if you'll have to move the crossmember forward or not. Depends on how much you cut off.
