AM/FM Radios

Whats up guys... I wanted to ask all of you a question, maybe some have experienced this before, maybe you havent.

My fathers birthday is coming up here in a couple weeks and I figured I would get him what he needs to complete his truck... An OEM AM/FM radio. I have found one that was serviced and tested to work
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=#ht_500wt_956
As you can see, it is an actual Delco original one. Not some reman. radio. What do you guys think? Price good? not so good?
Here is the truck its going into(along with mine)

Thanks for any input on this.

ultimately it's up to you to decide if that is what you are willing to pay for the item.. are you asking if you can get one cheaper? I know some places that have cheaper, but not sure if they are actually working or not.

I don't see them in the picture, but you should also get two metal cup looking brackets that go behind the large chrome disk on the knobs.

Re: AM/FM Radios

That might be a "little" on the high side. I have seen some for $700 - $800 from a guy also on EBAY that totally redoes them. He is supposedly certified from the factory or something like that.

But if it were me and I was buying a gift for the old man, I would pony up the money to get one that works and will continue to work as it should for a long time. I would hate to see you spend your hard earned cash getting one that supposedly works and then it craps out on your dad later down the road in a few months.

And just to think, people use to replace these stock radios with aftermarket ones and basically throw the stock ones away!!

Good luck with whatever you choose. I hope your dad will like it. And I agree, those are both sweet looking trucks!
