how much to send in a 350 to be rebuilt

rather than buying a running rebuilt one cause now we are seriously considering sending in my dads 350 he has in his rusty '48. Thanks all.
ps and it would bolt up to my 3spd right. and how long would that last considering the 350 would be factory 2brl.

Not really sure what you're asking- I think you need to be a little more specific

Just a factory rebuild, the motor is from a 72 impala 2brl. just a simple rebuild to get it running, the motor was running smooth when he put it in his truck but it was never started for over 10 years.
thnx

I would expect a long block to be about 8 hundred after adding in accesories.
Here is a link to a place that I have used in the past with good results.
Last time I had a motor rebuilt here they had it done in a couple of days but you had to pay with green cash.
Always be sure that you can identify you parts as they may try to slip in somebodys elses parts.

Have fun
