Correct OEM black for 69-72 center consoles?

What is the "correct" OEM black for a 69-72 center console? Should it be gloss, semi-gloss, or flat? Thanks in advance.

The ones that I have seen have been a semi-gloss. Here is a picture of my son's console which he painted semi-gloss.

Re: Correct OEM black for 69-72 center consoles?

I'm sure someone else will know for 100% certain, but I have one original one now and had a second and both were a slight satin black. Not sure if they had aged to that or not though...the insides are between what I'd call satin and semi-gloss....

The restored consoles I've seen all have been a semi-gloss so that's what I've been using on mine. The originals I have look almost chalky/dirty when placed next to one I've restored in a semi-gloss.

My '69 has appeared satin from day one. Semi-gloss is too glossy.
