Front Bumper Guards
I recently picked up a set of front of front bumper guards for my 72 pickup. can anyone with them on their truck reply with front end pict with where they should be - measurement from the center even? I would have thought they would have mounted through the bumper bolt holes but they look too far in towards the center in that position. Thanks

Re: Front Bumper Guards
which style did you buy? the "short" chrome(or painted) ones or the tall ones with the rubber insert?
According to the instructions in my box of NOS "small style chrome bumper guards, the bumper is to be drilled in a location other than the bumper bolt mounting holes.

Re: Front Bumper Guards
You can mount the shorts either in the outer location per instructions for 67-70 or mounted with the inner bumper bolts at the frame horns. The guards fit better in the factory location (outer) as the bumper contour changes slightly as it moves toward the outside. If mounted at the inner location you should expect a slight gap at the curved portion of the bumper and the guard.

Re: Front Bumper Guards
I think they look best mounted at the bumper mounting point and that way you cover the bolts. But if you like the 67-70 position maybe into 69z could post up the measurement from his instructions

Re: Front Bumper Guards
I know they're not the same ones you have, but here's what mine look like mounted through the bumper bolt holes.
