Dana 60 questions
Do they make gaskets for where the axle plate bolts on the outside of the hub? Thanks,
Jud

Re: Dana 60 questions
Jud,
Mine were kind of a metal plate so I just cleaned them up and used the grey gasket sealer on them... Look at this thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=474267 LockDoc

Re: Dana 60 questions
They do make them but I've always RTV'd them... never had a problem with them.

Re: Dana 60 questions
Thanks guys, I ended up making a set from gasket paper today. Went pretty fast, traced with a sharpie and cut them out. I have a hollow punch set that puts the holes in. Normally, you probably want a firmer material though with the torque running through the joint but this is just for a trailer conversion i did. Like Locdoc's mine had the aluminum ones on when I took it apart. At first I figured they were spacers to set clearance but after thinking about it they were most likely a gasket capable of keeping the joint tight under the torque exposed to the joint.

Re: Dana 60 questions
I reused my metal ones with copper seal on both sides. Couldn't find any that fit at AutoZone, Napa, Advanced, Oriellys....Didn't want to wait for mail order. No leaks yet, but just sitting in garage with 10 miles since rebuild.
