My new 1970 SWB K10
Well, it's official...
The truck was delivered this morning. Not sure what my plans are for it yet, but the truck was just to solid to pass up. The owner included a pile of paper and books on it's history, so I am going through all of it now - getting up to speed on what's been done to it. So far I know it was originally purchased, and spent most of it's life in Clark County Nevada. Then was sold to the guy I got it from in 1999, where it lived in Vista CA. The front D-44 axle has been upgraded to disc brakes, and after market hubs along with heavy duty axle shafts. The rear axle is a 12 bolt, and according to the last owner and receipts I see it's also posi. The engine is a 350 from what I'm told. Still need to research the numbers. The transmission is a SM-465 4 speed. The transfer case is a NP-205. I also got the rear tailgate, and all the hinge hardware. Plus the original chrome rear bumper and brackets. The camper is a very nice camper made by a San Diego company called "Callen Camper Co.", and are pretty respected for building tough custom campers. I'm already calling it snowball 1. because it's all white. 2. because things will probably snowball, as far was what I do to it. Well, enough already. Here are the pictures.

Nice truck.I like how it's set up. I just recently noticed a SWB K/10 in your signature and wondered if you had that a while and I just never knew it (or forgot).

Re: My new 1970 SWB K10
Yea, I bought it but couldn't get it to my house for a while. So the owner drove it up to my house, and his wife followed him up and took him home after we made the exchange.
My thinking right now, and has been most of the time is to keep it the way it is. Just tweak a few things to improve things here and there, and to make it a tough back woods trail truck.

Oh believe me, there will be a photo shoot with my ol' girl and the little K10.
Just doing some clean up on the K10, and the burb I am in the middle of doing some rear brake work.

Re: My new 1970 SWB K10
From what I can tell from the engine pad number, it looks like the engine a 1975 vintage truck 350 built at Flint on Dec 11th. Unless I decoded this wrong, let me know what you think it may be from.
