71 Lower control arms
What options are there to replace a set of lower control arms with a drop spindle? I would like a bolt in deal with the shafts already in place
I was going to reuse the originals, but the threads where the bushings go are pooched. Thanks, Pat |

Me too....threads are toast on both uppers and lowers on mine. New ones from Jegs or similiar aren't too bad price wise.....

Switch to a set of 73-87 control arms.
They have press in rubber bushings. Should be plentiful in junk yards or Craigslist. Might even be some in our classifieds section.

The 73-87 arms take a slightly larger u-bolt to hold them to the crossmember saddles. (9/16" vs 1/2" I think). That's what drills are for.

It's way eaiser to buy this stuff from the States than locating up here in northern Alberta. |
