396/402 Fresh Build Turn Key

Block Casting = 3969854 (2 Bolt Main)
Date Code = B-20-70 (feb 20 1970)
Suffix on right head pad = TO316TBG

Heads - oval port, open chamber #3975950. Date code J-16-9 J-16-9 Oct 16 1969
Sonic tested, hardened seats, resurfaced, all new stainless valves, springs, retainers.

Crankshaft- GM# 3904815 N.F Date code J-18-9. Nodular iron, fresh regrind .010 main & rods.

Pistons- TRW Forged # L2354 .030 on forged rods.

Rings- Engine tech Molly .030

Bearings- ACL engine bearings and cam bearings

Cam and Lifters- #2162 Edelbrock performer 0-5500 RPM, Hydraulic.

Timing Chain & Gears- Edelbrock heavy duty double roller #7809

Push Rods- Competition Cams, Hardened #7854-16

Oil Pump- Melling

Intake Manifold- Edelbrock performer # 2161, 0-5500 RPM.

Carburater- Edelbrock #1407 Performer, electric choke, calibrated for economy with performance.

Distributer- Accel HEI / New Plug Wires

Note....... All Components were balanced. Block was bored .030 and line bored. Cam was run in correctly, engine starts right up and idles smooth. Good oil pressure (60lbs at idle) 9:1 Compression ratio, runs on pump gas. ALL NEW ARP and stainless bolts throughout entire engine. Ceramic enamel engine paint. comes with new water pump, fuel pump, altenater (65amp, 1 or 2 wires), belts, fuel filter, oil filter, fuel line. Also has all pulleys, New power steering pump, brackets, motor mounts, exhaust manifolds, Edelbrock air cleaner #1221. This engine is a fresh rebuild and has never been installed in a vehicle. Used Quality parts for whole build.


Great throttle response.
Starting out at 155 to 160lbs of compression

This is an $8,000 motor.
Asking $6,200 plus freight charges.
