Re: Billet side markers
They do look good but wished you could use a light in them, they are set up for a reflector only.

Re: Billet side markers
those are freakin awesome, but not 200 dollars awesome....I gotta pay bills and sh**, so for now I'll stick with my 20 dollar a pair "van style" upgrade.
here's the link with some great (clear) before and after pics http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=483674 |

Re: Billet side markers
Nice find. I see they even have the tailight and reverse lenses for my fleetside, but 240 for the pair seems steep to me.

Re: Billet side markers
You know what, I just copied this from the site...and it does actually say "set of four" ....that makes it almost affordable now !!!! 50 bucks a piece for true polished billet cnc product ... isn't all that unreasonable.
I might give em a call and see if they will do the front ambers for 100 bucks...you gotta admit they are bitc***. "Machined from solid 6061-T6 billet aluminum. Hand polished to a show finish. 100% bolt in. (Set of 4)" Last edited by RUSHNBOBO; 09-16-2011 at 11:55 AM. |

Re: Billet side markers
If they weren't just reflector I would buy them, why can't you use a lite in them?

Re: Billet side markers
I like them alot, and it personally doesn't matter to me if there's no lights in them. Originally, most trucks only had reflectors anyway. It wasn't until late 69 or early 70 that they started putting lights in them. What would be really cool is to somehow mount a flat LED panel to the inside for lights.
As much as I like them, though, I'm not sure they would really fit the "restomod" theme of my truck. They would sure look awsome on some of the trick custom trucks some guys have. Also, when I first saw the price I was like then I saw that it was for a set of four, then I wasn't so shocked and realized that really wasn't that pricey for a custom billet item.

Re: Billet side markers
I think the marker lights give mine the truck some of it's character at night. Besides, since mine doesn't "buzz" when I forget to turn my lights off, I always step out and notice my marker lights are on. These reflectors would probably cause me to get stranded.
I would be interested if they had lights.... or better yet, LED's.

Re: Billet side markers
Just bought one! Want to see if I can modify the bulb holder/lense to accept the billet bezel......
LEDs would be a nice option!

Re: Billet side markers
The only problem I see is that there are no amber for the front. I know some states that generate revenue by giving you a ticket for incorrect colors. Just my .02

That's a lot of coin for just some showy reflectors.

Quote:
Could be the pic, but they are a dark red Shannon, just took the factory side maker apart and Im using the bulbhlder/backing plate for the single bulb It really lends itself to a 6 bulb LED set up, 3 top and 3bottom, but I will have to build that set up Wifey said "cant you just bolt them in as they are for once" More pics to follow
