C20 vibrations

My c20 is the first 3/4 ton truck that I have owned. It's got the factory heavy duty option, so I am not expecting it to ride like a modern truck or SUV.

I am starting to notice a vibration between 45~55mph (bed is unloaded). It actual gets kind of bouncy. The steering feels fine at any speed.

I am going to check out the ujoints, when I get around to it. The shocks look warn out, so I am probably going to have to replace them in the near future.

Does anyone else have a bouncy C20 or C30?

Re: C20 vibrations

is the vibration more in the floor than the steering. i seem to have this aswell only from 65 to 68. i beleive its a resonation from something in the drivetrain

Re: C20 vibrations

It's coming more from the seat (steering feels just fine). It's kind of bouncy, like being on a rollercoast. The shocks look completely warn out, so I am betting that it is time to replace those.
