What yoke for a 700R4

My truck has had a 700R in it for almost 10 years.

The problem is that my yoke has become grooved, enough so that even a new seal didn't take care of it... and I have no idea what the yoke is from...

I remember that my old 3spd manual yoke didn't work so I scrounged through a giant pile at a junkyard until I found one that would work with my shortened 67 driveshaft and I'm 99% sure 30 spline shaft 700R.

I don't want to sleeve it... so what works? Would an automatic 67-72 truck shaft work? I think my yoke came from an 80's caprice, but I don't remember

Yep-same yoke as TH350, Powerglide, TH200, TH200R4, TH700R4, 4L60, 4L60E, and Muncie 4-sp and most 3-sp manuals. What won't fit is TH400 or B/W car 4-sp. Not sure about HD granny gear 4-sp or TH375.

new trans yoke = time for a trip to the driveline shop for a ballance. They would also have whatever trans yoke you'd need and probably a new ujoint also.

Yeah, I planned on new U joints, but the balance is a good idea. It was balanced when I had it shortened (like 10 years ago), maybe it's gotten out of whack?

Hi,

Call these guys if you want a new one. They'll hook you up:

If your seal gets old enough it will become hard and groove your seal surface. Nasty leaks after that, I hate it.

even if it was ballanced 10 min ago, if you're swapping parts you're changing the ballance.
