Rear end question
I have a 91 K2500 with a 14 bolt , 8 lug , 9 1/2 inch rear . Has this one got the crush sleeve or does it have the pinion spacer . How much play should there be at the yoke while twisting left and right . Thanks for any help .

Re: Rear end question
It uses a crush sleeve if it's a stock axle. You'll need a 3/4" breaker bar and a cheater to get a proper crush. Don't go too far or you'll be installing a new crush sleeve and starting over.
A spacer requires shims and they take way more time to setup. They can't ever crush further though. |

Best bet is to pull cover and hold yoke and see how much backlash on the ring gear. |
