custom deluxe interior pictures

I am requestion 73-87 custom deluxe interior pics. I'm trying to replicate my dads old 78 custom deluxe. I have exterior pictures but no idea what the interior looked like. I'm especially interested in shots of the trim around the windshield frame and shoulder belt,etc....if the truck had them or not.

the door panels were plain plastic . ill see if i can find pics but somehow i think they were on a computer that broke without being able to be saved

Re: custom deluxe interior pictures

Here's a thought: go on ebay and get one of the sales brochures from that particular year. They usually show all the different interior options.

Re: custom deluxe interior pictures

I have an 84 Custom Deluxe with an all original interior. I could post pics for you if someone can tell us if it would be the same as a 78.

Re: custom deluxe interior pictures

retruck.com is a great resourse for brochures and they've all got interior shots. check it out.

here are some interior details that i recall. from my '75 custom deluxe. no pics, sorry!

- black instrument panel bezel
- wood insert along dash
- color-matched plastic door panels and dash
- no headliner
- black vinyl floormat
- plaid, color-matched vinyl bench seat (really cool, but unfortunately shredded)

i've always wanted to get mine back to stock... good luck!

Re: custom deluxe interior pictures

So it appears from what little I can see of the roof of the trucks and the windshield frame.......that there was no trim.

Re: custom deluxe interior pictures

My 79 Custom Deluxe has no windshield pillar or roof trim. All metal painted the same color as the exterior. Black dash cluster trim and rubber floor mat. Plaid seat cover as mentioned.

Those pictures bare no resemblance to a '78 Custom Deluxe. It was the base model,so no plastic over metal, vinyl plaid seat, rubber mat, black dash,no door pouches, pulls,or trim on door panels.

Re: custom deluxe interior pictures

My 76 custom deluxe was as stated above. The most custom piece was probably the "woodgrain" dash insert. Pretty much no frills
