what do you clean your seatbelts with?
I've bought a couple sets of belts at the yard lately and am trying to get them clean. Any tips?

Re: what do you clean your seatbelts with?
I've heard folks having decent luck with OxyClean or OxyClean compatable oxidizing products. GoJo or Fast Orange (Without the pumice) would do well if the stains are greasy (which they usually are), while the oxyclean is supposed to 'brighten' them up.
Good luck! Shawn |

Re: what do you clean your seatbelts with?
last time I took the buckles off and threw em in the dishwasher. Also, soaking them in a bucket with simple green works well.

Re: what do you clean your seatbelts with?
That's what I did. I scrubbed them with a stiff brush and simple green, rinsed them off and threw them in the dish washer. Then tossed them in the drier. It was loud so I just tied socks over the buckles.

Re: what do you clean your seatbelts with?
I always used tuffstuff ( red and yellow can ) and a VERY VERY little bleach with water ( add a very little bleach to a container of water spray the tuffstuff let it sit for a few minutes then with a clean white clothe and a scrub brush wipe and scrub it with the water and bleach, then wipe it again with a clean clothe and just water ), works great for me and I've used this on all my cars even the newer ones. Then let them dry good before using.
