Radiator Question
69 c10 with a 283 .40 over
in the truck now is a way to small single row aluminum radiator (not sure what its from it was there when purchased) i have priced the vehicle specific radiator and as some may know they are not exactly cheap ($265). i was wondering if anyone had used a different year radiator (atleast 3 row) and had good luck? i dont mean to sound cheap but its on a budget right now. thanks in advance.

Re: Radiator Question
Make sure you shop around for the best deal I found was Advanced Auto website. I searched around and found a 30% off discount code. 4 core was less than $200 shipped to my house. It is an all metal, no plastic. Would be installed now but didn't think about the mounts being diffrent size between the old 2 core and the new 4 core. UPS says the new parts will be here tonight. I have seen posts about installling mid 70's full size car rad, but inthe end I figured that the $75 diffrence would be eaten up making mounts and fan shroud.

Re: Radiator Question
I am runnin' a 2 row Aluminum radiator with a 355 SBC that is a street/strip engine. No problems cooling that engine at all... even in traffic on the Interstate in 90 degree heat in the summer. I am using a stock short water pump too.
