3/4 ton steering?

Is it possible to bolt up a 73 3/4 ton steering column and all the accessories that go with it onto a 1/2 ton 64 stepside?

I can buy the whole truck for $1K and it has a fresh rebuilt 68 vette 350 4 bolt and a turbo tranny in it.

Re: 3/4 ton steering?

I don't think it's a direct bolt in.
But many have done it before.
The 73 will have the ignition switch in the column.

The 67-72 columns would be a better choice in my opinion.

What are you wanting off the '73 for your '64 stepside?

Re: 3/4 ton steering?

I want the motor and trans and was thinking the steering would be an improvement over what I had but maybe not.

I don't think any of the other parts will fit the 64.
