I need to repair radio hole in dash (NEED MEASUREMENTS)
Like most truck dashs my radio cut out has been hacked up. I would like to weld a piece of metal back in that has the stock cut in it so I can install the radio delete plate.
So can someone give me the stock radio cut out measurements. Thanks for your help |

It might be more accurate if you found an original radio first

Re: I need to repair radio hole in dash (NEED MEASUREMENTS)
The only problem with patching yourself it is, on the right side above the radio knob stems hole, there's an extra rounded/slotted hole that you can't easily replicate. I don't know it that slot is necessary on a factory GM radio, but it wasn't needed with the Custom Autosound radio we used.
You can see the slot in the top pic, and the bottom pic shows that the slot isn't completly covered by the knobs that came with the radio. I think I wound up using a slightly larger chrome washer behind the knob to hide the edge of the slot. Also had to modify the radio shafts (filed a flat spot on them) to use LMC's repro radio knobs. The ones that came with the radio were plain generic chrome knobs tha looked out of place.
