Was a good deal?
I've got a 454/TH400 for $300 from a 74 motorhome with 78xxx
casting number 3999289 suffix code T1022TRX and the turbo 400 has the slip yoke bolted to transmission. Why?

Re: Was a good deal?
I think anything 1 ton or above, with a 2 piece driveshaft, used the fixed yoke.

Re: Was a good deal?
It is a bolt on yoke, but a slip yoke can also be used. The only differance is the out put shaft is drilled and tapped.

Re: Was a good deal?
not a good deal, a great deal. Does it run? The motorhome trans use a 9 bolt pump instead of the standard 8 [whatever that means] I bought an 86 p30 33ft motorhome 2weeks ago it has a 36000 mile 454 turbo 400 and the web forums for those motorhome guys say that that t400 is stronger than the truck 1ton t400. I bought this motorhome for the motor tranny and tilt column.
