sway bar question

greetings all, I'm new to the board and a new owner of a nice 67 shortbed pickup, My first question : the truck is lowered and needs a front sway bar, I read somewhere that the bar is different for a truck with stock height and a lowered one but can't find it now. is there a different sway bar for a stock one and one with dropped spindles ? thanks in advance for any help or info..

Re: sway bar question

I remember the thread but i can't find it either, but i do rember that the bar for a lowered truck was attached directly to the frame instead of the stands to help with ground clearence.
Used an after market one on mine and it works great.

Best sway bar write up ever: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ad.php?t=72338

Depending on how low you are, you can do like chopnchaneled said by omitting the stands and mount it directly to the frame.

Re: sway bar question

Exact same sway bar for stock height and lowered. As mentioned above if pretty low simply remove the frame brackets and bolt directly to the frame and you are good to go!

Re: sway bar question

Bolt directly to the frame - no bracket. That's what I'm doing then. Great tip. Thanks!
