Parts Interchange
I have a 68 GMC that I am working on. I was wondering if there is a list or thread of parts that will interchange on these trucks?
I am looking for a tilt colum and does anyone know of one that will bolt in fairly easy? My truck has a 6 lug leaf spring rear end, can anyone tell me what they used as a replacement? Just looking to save myself some time searching. Thanks! |

A motorhome [chevyP30] has a column that is closer to the truck tilt than the van tilt mentioned. I have one on the shelf and one still in a motorhome and they look almost identical. The motorhome tilts could be had as late as 86 model for sure as that is the model of the one I bought the other day.Now, Gmc trucks came wth leafs as standard and coils as an option as chevrolets came with coils standard and leafs as an option. That is my understanding on the rear suspensions they could be had either way. Good luck
