Sounds cool, what kind of efi are you running? If you can get 20 mpg that would be awesome- I guess your wife will be happy to get the kitchen table back!

He said "Projection." I think this means the Holley Pro-Jection TBI system.

Please definitely give us some more information and pictures! I just bought this and I'm a little daunted by the prospect of adding this to my 71 blazer!

Thanks,

Brian

Yeah, the Pro-jection system is the only system they have on their website for tbi injection.

I've actually read good things about this system -- that's why I decided to take the plunge.

I suppose we'll have to wait for gmc67swb to break our suspense.

How much did it cost you and how hard was it?

I'm thinking I'll go TBI one of these days (any other solution on Vortecs gets pricey!!!) and I'll probably go the homebrew route...use a big-block TB with 2" bores, and the Megasquirt kit ECU.

THE SYSTEM IS THE 2-D PROJECTION(DIGITAL COMPUTER). THE INSTALL IS STRAIGHT FORWARD. THE SYSTEM FUEL PRESSURE IS FACTORY SET AT 15PSI BUT IS ADJUSTABLE IF NECESSARY. WITH ONLY 15PSI YOU CAN RUN RUBBER HOSE INSTEAD OF HARD LINE. THE COST WAS $775.00. AS FAR AS IT BEING CRAP, I DISAGREE. OF COURSE, I'M PARTIAL BECAUSE I OWN ONE. I CAN SAY ONE THING, WITH A WEEKS WORTH OF DRIVING, IT'S BEEN NICE JUST G0ING OUT AND TURNING THE IGNITION KEY. AND HAVING THE TRUCK START RIGHT UP. ONE DOWN SIDE MAYBE THAT THIS PARTICULAR UNIT IS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT ONLY 275HP. NO PROBLEM FOR ME BECAUSE MY TRUCK IS A TRUE COMMUTER TRUCK. I DRIVE IT DAILY. THE THROTTLE RESPONSE IS MUCH CRISPER AND IT TAKES LESS PEDAL EFFORT TO MOVE THE TRUCK.

I USED THE VENT LINE ON THE SENDER TO RUN THE RETURN LINE. THE FUEL PUMP IS MOUNTED INSIDE THE PASSENGER SIDE FRAME RAIL JUST UNDER THE DOOR. THE FUEL PUMP IS QUIET AND COMES WITH A RUBBER ISOLATOR TO CUT DOWN ON VIBRATION. THE COMPUTER HAS POTENTIOMETERS TO ADJUST IDLE, CHOKE, HIGH RPM, ACCEL AND THERE IS MAIN THAT ADJUST THE WHOLE FUEL MAP. THERE IS ALSO AN OPTION FOR AN O2 SENSOR. THIS WILL ALLOW THE COMPUTER TO ADJUST THE AIR FUEL RATIO WHILE YOU DRIVE.(FUEL ECONOMY)
