C20 Highlander?

Bought an all original c20 , but needing restore, that doesnt quite match chevy's highlander brochure. Could you get a 72 with plaid insert seats without the highlander package? My truck's glovebox list does not say highlander anywhere, but it has all of the options except for door edge guards, tilt wheel, and the below eyeline mirrors. Any help would be appreciated. There are so few examples out on the internet, and most of them are 1/2 tons, or not completely original.

Re: C20 Highlander?

I believe there were three different highlander packages. Each package added more options.

Re: C20 Highlander?

Cool, my truck seems to have a lower serial number than most I have seen on here. Could be why highlander, or promotional isn't noted.

I believe you have the real thing, too. That looks like an earlier steering column, probably swapped.

Earlier than my S/N too.

What color are your belts/visors/door panels/seat vinyl? Everything looks to have a green tint inside the truck

Re: C20 Highlander?

They are parchment--just dirty. I just got it recently, and have a barn full of other projects so havent done much with it yet. It has black carpet and dash pad. Parchment seat belts, door panels, and seat.

Re: C20 Highlander?

Something i picked out from your guys' 2 SPID's...

Goat Herder: 613 - Green Plaid Trim
BB72: 161310 - Avocado Highlander

I'd bet the farm that 613 is the common code for the green highlander plaid interior, even though its described differently. I love Highlanders, i cant wait to replicate one on the interior of my build.

Re: C20 Highlander?

Well a Highlander has to be a Custom Deluxe, and they both are, and have the same 613 code so I'm saying yes it is a Highlander. My 71 K10 had one of those green plaid seats in it when I got it. I even still have it!
