Unhappy starter problems

hi guys I have a problem with my truck, when I connect the battery the starter starts to operate with the key off ... in the morning I replace the ignition switch, but does the same thing when I connect the battery ..... I need help haha... anyone can post pictures of the solenoid because I think my truck does not have..

The starter solenoid is attached to the starter itself. If you were to look at the starter from underneath, you would first see the starter itself, then on top, the solenoid.

I would check the connections on the solenoid. Sounds like to me, something is jumping the 2 terminals, causing the starter to run. You should have the wire from pos. battery and a pair of red wires connected to a loop going to largest terminal. The smaller terminal is for the other wire coming from alt wire harness.

thanks buddy I was looking for a solenoid similar to ford cars haha, tomorrow I will check the wires, but if all is well what is failing is the solenoid?

Smack it with a hammer..your solenoid is stuck.

If you smack a solenoid with a hammer, you get a busted solenoid.

Yup. Had a farm truck do this. It's hung up. Don't hit it with a hammer unless you can afford loosing it as a core.
