Question CPP Big Brake kit problem/question

I've got the CPP Big brake kit on the front of my truck and have small problem. The lug studs that come in the aluminum hub are not quite long enough to run the acorn style nut that goes with my Billet Specialties wheels (they are about 3/8-7/16th of an inch to short). Has anyone else run into this problem? I talked to CPP but they said they hadn't heard of the problem and didn't have a replacement stud that was longer. I know most aluminum wheels have the thicker mounting flange so I would think this would be a little more common of an issue. Any suggestions? I've looked in the Dorman catalog but can't find anything with the same dimensions as the current stud (PART # 610-080), but longer. Thanks in advance.

Did you try ARP or Moroso? You will need to tell them the length, diameter, thread pitch and knurled end size of the studs.

Re: CPP Big Brake kit problem/question

Since I can't find the correct length I need, I'm going to buy a set of these and have them cut down: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MSR-8010/

Thanks for the info guys!

You can go with an ET style, something like the link below, that will offer more thread engagement. They also make the in spline and open-ended.

Moser axle has some variety of studs. They tend to have some of the weird ones because they make you buy them for their axles

Pro Performance, Thanks for the link. The link is for 1/2" thread. I did find the 7/16" thread also. If the bolts that I ordered do not solve the problem, I will look into these.
