Great job!!

Edit: That must have been a huge can that you dipped that bumper in.

Interesting idea, hows it hold up to scratches and stuff? Does it scrape off easily?

About how much does a can run you? One can enough for the front bumper? I might just give this idea a go.

Re: Plasti dip my bumper today

Looks good. I used that spray plasti dip for my battery tray and it's been working great for 4 years now. I had to put a bunch of coats on it though to get some thickness out of it. but it sure had stood up well.

Where can I buy this spray? I understand you can peel it off but does it chip easily from rocks and such?

Re: Plasti dip my bumper today

You can buy it at your local chain home improvement stores. I have seen people spraying wheels with this stuff and it lasting a long time but who knows what conditions they drive in.

That would be my question as well. If it sticks well, this would work well on chrome bumpers that are slightly messed up. It would definitely hide some of the issues.

Re: Plasti dip my bumper today

I am welding a grille guard I've built on to my existing chrome bumper. Obviously I have to take the finish off the bumper. I was thinking maybe paint the guard matte black and the bumper in this plastic coat spray if it's ligit. Otherwise I'll paint it all matte black but I'm concerned with chipping. I understand I can expect some but you know....

I use duplicolor bedliner (spray can) on my bumper and the stuff is hard as a rock. I stand on it all the time and no scuffs yet. See my pics.

I dont really care for it but Im to busy to peel it off. unless you can bring it by the house? how do you think it would do on interior? like the headliner? I have some rubberized undercoat in an aerosol. but i have not tried it yet. probably be a huge mess.
