Re: Interesting!! Ethanol Gas

...and that is part of why I don't run ethanol. The other reason is I get much worse gas mileage.

Re: Interesting!! Ethanol Gas

That is why Ethanol and E85 fuel isnt as popular as some thought it would be. and its about 85% the cost of gas.

Re: Interesting!! Ethanol Gas

Just remember, anything the Gov is involved in is a waste of time and is designed to cost you more money. It takes twice as much energy to produce that crap than it does Gas but the greenies love it, go figure. People are starving in the world so we use corn at twice the cost to use it as fuel.

Re: Interesting!! Ethanol Gas

I dunno how its green-I lose 5% of my gas mileage, but put out the same amount of emissions as I used to on gasoline, where I went 5% further.

Re: Interesting!! Ethanol Gas

They KNOW it messes with classic cars... what better way for them to get people to sell/crush/junk their "old polluting classic cars" and buy new ones with all these expansive power robbing systems?

They are also trying to force an increase to 15% and sounds like they got their way.

http://blogs.wsj.com/drivers-seat/20...-means-to-you/

The problem is that in a LOT of areas, there are no longer any statiuons that sell Ethanol-Free gas, they just do not exist anymore. In my area, the ONLY places to get Zero Ethanol gas is Marinas, and I sure as hell am not going to drive my cars into the Gulf of Mexico just to get the gas.... so we are all on our way to forced E85...
